I got a new little toy!

Did everyone have a great National Scrapbooking Day! Did everyone KNOW it was National Scrapbooking Day?!LOL

Well today I had a great time hanging out at the Scrapin Shack with a couple of great friends and I found a new little tool to use. Some of you may have used and seen these before, but it is new to me so I must share.
It is called Edge Distresser by Heidi Swapp. The description on the back reads,
For some reason, the roughed up edge of a layout,a photo, a frame or a journaling block adds just the right amount of dimension and character. Run this edge distressor right along the edge of anything, that'll "junk it up!"
This is a picture of me just taking a piece of cardstock and running it through the edge distresser. It worked very easily!!
And here (if you can see it properly) is a picture of the edge after it has been distressed and I put ink on the edges. What do you think?

And best of all...this nifty little tool was only .99!!!!!!

What a surprise!!

Wow! I got a big surprise today when I clicked on my blog to do some work on it and low and behold I had my frist comments! Thanks Beate! I'm a little embarrased as I am not advertising my blog just yet and it is not quite ready for viewing!LOL I have alot of work left to do and things to get sorted out and figured out on it. It is a bit more complicated to start then I anticipated. Oh well..all part of the fun!LOL

I am in the middle of cleaning out my craft room. Out with the old and in with the new! After signing up with CTMH last week (still waiting anxiously for my kit)I decided it was time to give my craft room a little overhaul. I will humbly post a few pictures of it in the process of organization....Here is one.
That is my counter top. With many projects sitting unfinished on it. The next one is of my floor and one corner of the room. Oh my goodness do I need to get busy!!



And last but not least, the other corner of the room where the desk is and all my daughter's craft stuff. She is great at getting stuff out to do her "crafting" but horrible at picking it up.

Hopefully next week I will be posting new pictures of my newly cleaned up room. It shames but to show this!! If you know me, you know I am a clean freak and this is about as shamefull as I get! LOL

Hello!

Wow, this is my first post on my first blog. Hoping you will all find this a place of inspiration, or at least a good laugh!! LOL

I'm jumping on the bandwagon and starting my own blog. We'll see how it works out. It will be pretty plain until I get all of this figured out.

For my first post, I want to share with you a card I made for my dear sweet friend who just had a small procedure done and is recovering at home. I used the lovely BELLA stamp...grumpabella. LOVE HER! I also used CTMH paper for the background.
